Set in a beautifully restored 12th-century castle, the Clontarf Castle Hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort just minutes from Dublin city centre. Surrounded by landscaped gardens, the hotel provides a peaceful and elegant setting while remaining conveniently accessible from the airport and the city.
Located in the coastal suburb of Clontarf, the area is known for its scenic seafront promenade, charming residential streets, and relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy walks along Dublin Bay, with views of the waterfront and easy access to local cafés and parks.

Conference tickets do not include accommodation. Participants can benefit from special rates at the Clontarf Castle Hotel, where the conference will take place, as well as at The Mont and The Davenport hotels in Dublin city centre. The Mont and The Davenport are both approximately 30 minutes away by public transport.

The Conference “From Challenge to Change: Extended Producer Responsibility in a New Policy Era” is a high-level, high-impact, international event that will debate the role of the upcoming Circular Economy Act in addressing challenge of circularity of e-waste and its contribution to the resilience of the EU. Captains of industry and chief executives of Europe’s leading producer responsibility organisations as well as Members of the European Parliament and senior policymakers in public administrations will be in attendance. We expect the e-waste collection and recycling sector as well as authorities, producers, industry associations, academia, NGOs and the press to be in attendance, and join us in debating the future of the industry.
E-waste is a worldwide societal, economic and environmental challenge. The conference will therefore seek to address the following questions: How the current EU regulatory framework should be reshaped to make e-waste sector truly circular? How the #allactors principle in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) should be implemented? How EPR schemes should be harmonised to strengthen Single Market? What are the building blocks of future e-waste legislation? Are the current collection calculation methodology fit for purpose? What measures will get us on track to become a circular economy and a circular society? How can we incite citizens to return their waste electricals? How can the e-waste collection sector foster access to critical raw materials?

The upcoming revision of the WEEE Directive, as part of the Circular Economy Act, represents a pivotal moment for the electrical and electronics sector.
This event will provide a unique opportunity to hear directly from key decision‑makers about their priorities and vision for the future WEEE legislation. It will also bring together representatives not only from the PRO community but also from industry, civil society, and other stakeholders – creating a space to network, debate, and exchange perspectives on the future of the electrical and electronics sector.
